Florence Aberle

Florence Caroline Aberle March 20, 1919 - January 23, 2016 Florence Perman was born in Venturia, North Dakota to Adam and Katharina Opp Perman. German was her first language, until attending public schools in Mobridge, South Dakota. She had many interesting stories about growing up in a farming family with eleven children. Her daughters and granddaughters loved to hear stories about her childhood in the Dakota’s. In November of 1944 she married her hometown sweetheart, Kasper “Kap” Aberle, in Yakima while he was on leave from the US Army. They started their married life in Santa Fe, New Mexico while Kap finished his military service at Los Alamos Army Base. They moved back to South Dakota before moving to the Wenatchee Valley in 1946. Their two daughters, Marilyn and Cheryl, were born in Wenatchee. She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family. After Cheryl started school, Florence and her sister and best friend, Helen, packed apples every fall. She was a long time member of St. Paul's Lutheran church. She enjoyed volunteering at Our House for many years and participated in activities at the Senior Center. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and granddaughters. Sunday dinners with chicken noodle soup and apple pie will always be a cherished family memory . Florence's German cooking was enjoyed by many friends and family. After Kap’s retirement they enjoyed travels to large family reunions in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Travels to Hawaii, Alaska, California and Reno were special memories to her. Fishing Banks Lake with the Wenatchee and Yakima relatives was a summer highlight. She enjoyed traveling to Washington, DC and Miami, Florida to attend ballet performances of her oldest granddaughter, Paige. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Kasper Aberle, daughters Marilyn Fulleton (Jim) of Wenatchee and Cheryl Allen (Scott) of Moxee, WA. She is also survived by her sisters Helen Foland of Wenatchee, Irene Walth of Mobridge, SD, and brother Jack Perman of Mobridge, SD. Three granddaughters, Paige McFall (John) of Amsterdam, Holland, Kami Miller (Mike) Fircrest, WA, Richelle Nagler (Mark) East Wenatchee, many special nieces and nephews, four great granddaughters Stella, Tallulah, Gabriella and Grace. She loved all her girls!! She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and two sisters. Noodle, Noodle, grandma we will see you in heaven!! Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30th, 11am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran School, or the charity of your choice.
