Judy Hesburn

Judy passed away in the early hours of Tuesday April 5th after a two month battle with a sudden and rare disease. She fought very hard to recover, however, one problem kept leading to another until the mountain was just too high to climb any more. She is now resting peacefully in the arms of God and smiling down on the rest of us here on earth. Her infectious smile and kind heart will be missed by so many. When mom made friends with someone, it was never a casual thing. You were a friend for life and you knew it. As is evident in the outpouring of love shown by those as far back as high school classmates, to her many, many friends back in Michigan, and the extremely kind and generous friends in Entiat and Wenatchee. She touched so many people with her kindness and willingness to do anything for those she cared about. She even made many new friends while in the hospital, from Doctors that would ask to work with her, nurses that requested to be her primary care giver, to the assistants that always wanted to be the one to come help or bring her something. Simply put, she was just THAT special, right up to the end. She has left some big shoes to fill with the example she has shown all her life. She was a loving wife of 49 years, a wonderful mother, and the best grandmother anyone could ask for. I only hope that someday I can be half the woman she was and that she will continue to guide me in that endeavor. We all love you and will miss you more than words can express. Survived by husband Dave; son Robert of Puyallup, WA; daughter Kristine Lopez of Woodhaven, MI; grandchildren Travis Lopez and Trevor Lopez of South Rockwood, MI; brother’s Steve Carlson (Sue) of Whidbey Island, WA and Bill Ruddell of Monroe, WA; mother-in-law Grace Hesburn of Trenton, MI; sister-in-law Dawn Henry (Richard) of Southgate, MI; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Viewing is at Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home in Wenatchee, WA on Monday April 11, 2011 from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Memorial service is at the Warehouse Church in Entiat, WA on Saturday April 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM.
