Ken Sadler Obituary Cloyd Kenneth (Ken) Sadler May 1, 1931 – November 20, 2024 Ken Sadler, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grand father, passed away peacefully at the age of 93, on November 20, 2024, in Wenatchee, WA. Ken lived a long life filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of his family. Ken was born on May 1, 1931 and raised in West Virginia. He joined the Navy at age 20, serving on the Algoa, spending time in Japan and Korea. Shortly after, he met the love of his life (Phyllis 1936-2021) and married on August 1, 1951, after just two weeks of dating. Together they worked hard to build a beautiful life and family, living in Spokane, California, Lake Stevens, and settling in Cashmere, WA during their retired years. Ken was dedicated to hard work and family values. He and Mom (Phyllis) instilled love, resilience, and the value of dedication. After 69 years of marriage and the death of his beloved wife, Ken moved into Avamere Senior Care in Wenatchee and made multiple new friends. He was well loved by his community there and even created a community park during his stay so that residents could sit outside and enjoy being in nature. Ken was a devout Christian and lived his life according to his faith. Some of his favorite hobbies were to get out on the golf course with his buddies, and fishing with his sons. He was also a talented painter and woodworker. During the last few years of his life he took multiple trips, including road trips to Idaho to visit one of his daughters, and Arizona to visit his other daughter. Dad recently took a road trip with his girls to visit his two remaining brothers in Oregon. He even got his first passport last year and went to Cabo, Mexico with his eldest son. He was always up for an adventure with a positive attitude. Ken is survived by his 4 children; Steve (Becky), Stan (Kathy), Stacee (Doug), Shellee (Jeff), 11 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. “Papa” took immense joy in spending time with each of his kids, grandkids, and even greats. A celebration of Ken’s remarkable life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 2 pm at the Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home at 302 Ninth Street, Wenatchee, WA 98801. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Avamere Senior Care in Wenatchee. Ken will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His legacy of love, kindness, and the values he lived by and instilled in others will continue to inspire generations to come.
