Clyde L. Frisk

Clyde Frisk Entiat, WA Clyde Frisk 89, of Entiat went to meet the Lord on Dec 12, 2016. He was born in Lindsay, California to Alvin an Ruth Frisk September 19, 1927. Clyde was one of seven siblings, Clifford, Clarence-his twin brother, one half-brother, and 3 half-sisters. Clyde and his family moved around a lot in California before moving to Arkansas. In 1946 Clyde, his twin brother Clarence and wife, his uncle Herbert, and two nephews and their wives left Arkansas and came to Washington State. Here in Washington he pick hops in Yakima and picked apples in the Entiat valley. In the spring of 1948 Clyde followed his twin brother and Uncle into the timber Industry where they went to work for Zwight Logging. Clyde worked in the timber industry where he was a feller. He worked for numerous logging companies for 42 years before he retired. In 1950 Clyde married Elenore Jackson of Wenatchee and they made their home in Entiat where they had four Children. After retirement Clyde enjoyed hunting and fishing with his wife and sons. He planted a large garden every spring and loved to work in it all summer with his wife and daughter. He helped his wife and daughter can vegetables and make pickles every year. In the fall he would gather firewood for the home. Clyde was well known in the Entiat Valley and people would call him to fell trees or to remove the trees for firewood all the time. Clyde is survived by his wife Elenore of 66 years of Entiat, one daughter Charlene Garrison(Bill) of Entiat, and three sons. Glenn Frisk(Sandy) of Tonasket, Dan Frisk of Tonasket, and Rick Frisk(Lisa) of East Wenatchee. A twin brother Clarence Frisk(Emma Jean) of Yakima. Six grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Clyde was proceeded in death by his parents, one brother, one half-brother and three half-sisters. Services will be held at the old IOOF Hall in Entiat. Saturday Jan 21, 2017 at 1pm.
