David Grueneich

David Edwin Grueneich, 55, of Entiat Washington, passed away Saturday, November 11th. David was born on August 11th, 1968, to Frank Grueneich and Willa Hicks in Walla Walla Washington. After graduating from high school in 1986 David joined the Navy and served a total of five years. He served nearly 3 years in the Philippines where he met Roselyn Otom in 1988. David and Roselyn were married in 1991. David leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Roselyn Grueneich, Son Mathew, Mother-in-Law, Juliana Otom, Sister in Laws, Myra Otom, and Myleen Otom, Niece Kyla Otom and Nephew Hyuan Otom. David also leaves behind his father, Robert Nesteby and is preceded in death by his mother Willa Hicks. David’s two main loves in life were family and the Seattle Seahawks, his dedication and devotion had no bounds. David and Roselyn worked vigorously to get as many family members as possible to the United States and are proudly responsible for six family members’ arrival. The first to arrive were Roselyn’s parents Juliana (Momsie) and Cesar (Popsie) Otom in 1996. Roselyn’s father passed away March 1, 1999, and their son Mathew arrive March 4, 1999. David and Roselyn quickly focused on Roselyn’s younger siblings. In 2007 Myra arrived and gave birth to a baby girl, Kyla Otom in July 2007. In 2013 Myleen and her son Hyuan arrived. Momsie, Myra, Kyla, Myleen, and Hyuan lived with David and Roselyn until 2014. In 2023 David walked with Myra and gave her away as she married. This was one of Davids proudest and happiest moments of his life. David supported and cheered for Mathew, Kyla, and Hyuans’ events as a proud father, and spoiled them all beyond belief. The Seattle Seahawks and Mariners were David’s second loves. Game day meant plenty of grilled food and even more excitement. David maintained a lifelong passion for both teams, good or bad, and was a devoted number 12 for the Seahawks. David was generous, loving, and completely devoted to his family and friends; he will be missed so very much. Dave, we all love you and are so proud to be a part of your life. Thank you for loving and caring for us all. We love you and miss you with all our hearts. The family of David Edwin Grueneich will be gathering to celebrate his life and we would be honored if you would join us. David touched so many lives, and we would love to hear your memories. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church 625 South Elliot Ave, Wenatchee on Saturday December 2, 2023 at 12:00pm to 1:00pm and a sharing with family and friends will be 1:00pm to 3:00pm following the service.
