Ina L. Fix

Ina Lea Fix (Wilkey) was born in Spokane, Washington to Jay & Juanita Wilkey on June 2, 1959. On January 5, 2025, Ina was reunited with her parents where she will rest in peace and watch over her family that she loved so dearly. Ina attended Central Valley High School in Spokane, Washington. It was in 1977 that she met her first husband, Terry Schock. The two married after a short engagement and built a life in Spokane with their two sons, Matt and Marc. Ina was a vibrant and joyful person who cherished every moment spent with her two sons, creating lasting memories filled with laughter. In 1989, Ina moved to Ellensburg, Washington, with her sons and her second husband, Bill Kasper. She worked in various retail positions but often spoke about the memories she made working at Shaw’s Furniture, Cramer’s Furniture, and Maurices clothing store. Her gentle spirit, and warm, friendly personality made her a favorite among customers, and she loved connecting with people, learning their stories, and making lifelong friends. In 1999, Ina moved to Eugene, Oregon, where she attended Lane Community College and earned an associate’s degree. While in Eugene, Ina met the love of her life, Greg Fix. They married May 1, 2010 surrounded by close family and friends. Greg and Ina had a bond rooted in laughter and a love for the simple pleasures in life. Greg once said his favorite thing about his life with Ina was how they were always laughing together. They loved traveling and spent several vacations by the beach, soaking in the sunshine. Ina’s favorite place to be was by the beach or the pool, especially when her family was splashing in the water beside her. In 2012, Greg and Ina relocated to Wenatchee, Washington to be closer to family. Ina’s love for her four grandchildren brought her immense joy, and her face would light up whenever they were together. She cherished the holidays, especially Christmas and Easter. She would spend days preparing for the time with her family, creating memories filled with laughter, music, and dancing. Winter weekends were a family favorite, with Ina riding the sled behind the four-wheeler with her grandkids, the sounds of joy and excitement echoed throughout the neighborhood for hours. Ina and Greg shared a strong passion for football. Ina was a dedicated “couch coach” for her favorite teams, the Seattle Seahawks and the Oregon Ducks. She brought her high energy and enthusiasm to each game. Ina was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Those who had the privilege of knowing her were truly blessed by her presence. Her infectious laugh, and ever-present smile brought joy to everyone in her life. Ina’s love and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of loving her. Her memory will remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to share in her life, bringing peace and comfort in the days ahead. She is survived by her loving husband, Greg Fix; brothers, Gary Wilkey of Quartzsite, AZ and Kenny (Debbie) Wilkey of Spokane, WA; sons, Matt (Michelle) Schock of Ellensburg, WA and Marc (Tali) Schock of Brier, WA; grandchildren, Calvin, Wade, Natalee, and Ward; as well as many close family members and friends.
