James M. Anders

James Michael Anders March 11, 1951 - December 21, 2017 Wenatchee, WA James Michael Anders, a longtime resident of Wenatchee, WA, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Thursday, December 21, 2017, at his home. Mike was born on March 11, 1951, in Unionville, MO, to Harley Sir and Elizabeth (Kay) Anders. At a young age, the family moved to Carnation, WA, where he attended schools. They later moved to Brewster, WA, where he graduated from high school. In 1974, Mike met the love of his life, Janelle Rene Mead. Mike and Janelle were married on August 21, 1976, in Neosho, MO, where they briefly made their home. In 1983, Mike and Janelle moved to Wenatchee, WA, where they made their forever home. In 1984, Mike went to work for Astro Packaging where he was employed for 13 years. In 1997, Mike opened Mountain View Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning and operated the business till his passing. Mike enjoyed camping with his family, spending time at the ocean, gold prospecting, cooking for his family on holidays, and going to the casino. Mike was known to all of his family as "Uncle Mike" and loved to give all the kids motorcycle rides. Mike loved spending time with all of his nieces and nephews. Mike so enjoyed his carpet cleaning business and meeting and talking to all of his customers. Mike is survived by his wife, Janelle, of 41 years; his loving sister, Kathy (Burt) Thayer of Grayland, WA; very special nephews: Chris (Donna) Anders of Portland, OR, Jefferey (Rochelle) Anders of Spokane, WA; very special niece, Regina (Jamie) McKinney of Odessa, WA; nieces, Melody Wadell of Everett, WA, and Valerie of Yuma, AZ; greatnephews: Ryan and Eric Mckinney, and Devin Anders; great-niece, Alyssa McKinney, and soon to be born, Norah Janelle Anders; and many more nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved toy poodle, Zoey. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: John Anders, Harley Anders, Jr., and Gene Anders; niece, Rene Anders; and his beloved pets, Holly and Gracie. Mike was loved by everyone that knew him, he will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Upon Mike's request, there will be no services. Those who wish, can make donations in his name to the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society.
