Linda B. Glessner

Linda B. (Golladay) Glessner passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at her residence in Richland, WA. Linda was born in Beloit, Kansas to George & Thada (Porter) Golladay on January 11, 1944. Linda grew up on the family farm in Kansas with six siblings until 1955 when the family packed up and moved across many states to Washington. The family moved around WA following her dad’s work, but settled in Kittitas where Linda had many friends and completed her schooling. She graduated from Kittitas High School in 1962. As a young adult she worked in bookkeeping and enjoyed spending time with her friends. She met her husband, Larry Glessner in Chelan, WA over the Independence Day holiday of 1966. They married on April 22, 1967 in Wenatchee, WA. The newlyweds moved to Mansfield to continue to work the family farm and to raise their two children, one son and one daughter. Linda enjoyed spending time with her extended family, playing cards every chance there was a get together, and camping at Tiffany’s Resort on Curlew Lake every summer. She enjoyed a great drive and road trips to any adventure. Linda’s hobbies included gardening, cards, puzzles, darts, and Mariner’s baseball. But nothing was better than enjoying time with her grandchildren. Linda is survived by her husband, Larry, their son Lonnie and his wife, Tamara of Estes Park, CO, and their daughter Lori and her husband, David Elgin of West Richland, WA. They have 4 grandchildren and one foster grandson, David & Abigail Glessner of Colorado, Nicholas Black of California, and Justine & Jacob Elgin of Washington. She is also survived by her brothers, Wesley Golladay and wife Susan of Pasco, WA, Max Golladay and wife Anita of Arizona, Elwyn Golladay and wife Dawn of Yakima, WA, sister Shirley Pedraza and husband Rene of Selah, WA, sister-in-law Rhonda Golladay of Othello, as well as 15 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister Jeanette Poe and one brother Ronald Golladay. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 18, 2025 at 12 p.m. at Columbia River Fellowship in Mansfield, WA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial to Chaplaincy Health of Tri-Cities.
