Paul Eugene Earney

Paul Eugene Earney, 82, of Wenatchee, WA passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Wenatchee Valley Hospital. Born in Springfield, Missouri to Lacy Homer Earney and Anthalene Alzain Moore where he lived and worked with family until moving to the Pacific Northwest living out his life in the Wenatchee Valley. Paul was a passionate man who enjoyed Bowling, softball, golf, fishing and playing horseshoes with his closest friends. He worked as a Control Operator for the Hanna Mining and Silicon Industries for over 45 years. He was also a small business owner in the Wenatchee Valley area after retiring from the Silicon Industry. In his spare time he enjoyed the roller coaster ride of emotions watching the Seattle sports franchises. He also enjoyed, “Do it yourself,” television programming. Paul’s greatest enjoyment came from the time he spent with his family, and friends. Paul had a huge personality and built friendships easily. The smile on his face was embedded into the peoples life’s whom he touched. Paul never complained about being down, and he would encourage and lift people who were down offering his ear, before bending yours for hours on end. His greatest gift was teaching us all about teamwork. He would never let you dwell on your mistakes and reassured you when you were off, and he would try harder for us all and for his teammates. Paul’s best friend, partner, and wife of over 50 years, Treva Helen Earney was present with her husband in his passing. Paul was extremely loving and proud of his three daughters, and three sons. Heather Pflugrath, Rex Earney, Carol Heinert, Neil Earney, Paula Phillips, and Michael Earney. Paul was preceded in death by his daughter Carol, brother Robert Earney, and sister Lavonne Brincefield. Paul leaves behind 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces, nephews, and too many friends to count. We will all miss his huge heart, and loving personality along with his everlasting words of kindness. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home, 302 Ninth Street, Wenatchee, WA. Memorial donations may be made in Paul’s name to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.
