Robert Mitchell

Robert “Bob” Mitchell, 83, of East Wenatchee, WA, went to be with the Lord on August 18th, 2025, at home surrounded by family. Bob was born on August 25th, 1941, in Wenatchee, WA, to Dorothy and Albert Mitchell. On June 12th, 1960 he married his high school sweetheart, Linda Williams, and together they raised two children, Lori (Mitchell) Reed and Rob Mitchell Jr. Bob is preceded in death by his son, Rob Mitchell Jr.; his parents, Dorothy and Albert Mitchell and his sister Patty Lee Brown; He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his daughter, Lori Reed; his sister Patty Lou Smith; his son-in-law, Michael Reed; his grandchildren, Jeffrey (Matea) Reed, Lauren (Alex) deCillia, Christine (JJ) Jahr; his great-grandchildren, Lennon and Camille deCillia; and the entire family compound. Bob graduated from Eastmont High School and Central Washington University. He started his career in the insurance industry at Jeffrey Adjustment Bureau. He then became the founder of Mitchell, Reed & Schmitten Insurance Agency where he created a legacy of hard work, kindness, and care for both his clients and his community. Bob will be remembered for much more than his generosity; he was a class act and a true gentleman. He carried a deep curiosity about the world and could talk for hours about the things that fascinated him, from geology, to insurance, to the beauty and history of the Wenatchee Valley, a place he cherished his entire life. His love for the outdoors showed in the many days he spent fishing and hunting, always happiest when he was out in nature. Above all, Bob’s greatest joy was his family. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, treasuring every moment he could spend with them. To his family, he was not only a source of love and laughter, but also the steady foundation, a true patriarch whose wisdom, guidance, and unwavering presence shaped generations. A celebration of life will be held on Friday September 5th at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church – 200 S Kentucky St in East Wenatchee, WA. A viewing will be held Thursday September 4th from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral home.
