Robert Arthur Wines 10/30/1928 - 11/2/2016 Bob Wines passed away at home in his sleep on Tuesday, November 2, 2016. He was born October 30, 1928 to Lola I. and Arthur A. Wines at Swedish Hospital in Seattle WA. Bob attended Columbia Elementary School, H.B. Ellison Jr. High, Wenatchee High School, Wenatchee Valley College and Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA, graduating in 1950. He married Dona Clemens in November of 1949. In 1950 they had their first child Connie Lee, in 1953 their second child Pamela Kay (Roberts) and in 1954 Gregory David was born. In July of 1962 he married Yvonne "Bonnie" Stockstill and combined families with her three children, Kathleen Waslenko, Corinne and Shelley Stockstill. Bob Worked as a salesman for Nuchief Sales, Welch Fruit Sales and Wenoka Sales from 1957 to 1991. He was a member of the Wenatchee Junior Chamber of Commerce, Wenatchee Golf and Country Club, Wenatchee Rotary Club, American Heart Assn., Apple Blossom Festival Board, United Way and the Northwest Horticultural Council. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, former wife Dona, wife Bonnie, sister Carol Grubb, niece Melissa Frank and granddaughter Katie Perkins. He is survived by his three children and Son-in-law Peter Roberts, three stepdaughters and six grandchildren; Sherin Little, Flanna Perkins, William Perkins, Michelle Hageman, Isabel Roberts, Kaylee Wines and ten great grandchildren. He is also survived by his close friend Marguerite Pierce and her loving family. Bob enjoyed his family, music (especially jazz), golfing, gardening, woodworking and traveling. His family loved him for his quality of sincere kindness and caring and for always being there for them. They loved him for fairness amidst challenges, and loved him for his witty sense of humor and stable outlook on life. As we all grew up, we could not deny his incredible wisdom. He was a quiet man who listened carefully, who could magically articulate the best of his life's stories and his life's travels. Bob was giver and helper to the many who knew him. He will be missed for who he was and how he lived his life. Bob has been a member of the First (Saddlerock Evangelical) Presbyterian Church since 1962 and served as a Deacon and an Elder. A service will be held at the First (Saddlerock Evangelical) Presbyterian Church at 1400 S. Miller St. in Wenatchee on Saturday November 19, 2016 at 11:00 am. Reception will follow at 1218 Jefferson Street, Wenatchee. in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Seattle Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
