Robin M. Force

Robin Michael Force was born in Mount Vernon, NY on May 5, 1941 to Robert and Dorothy Force. Rob entered the US Navy at age 17 and was honorably discharged after service during the Vietnam War. Following his service, Rob went to college where he met and then married his wife Shirley in 1968. After college Rob and Shirley moved to San Diego where Rob graduated from University of San Diego Law School in 1973. After graduating law school, Rob and Shirley moved to Seattle, where Rob began his legal career. While in Seattle, Rob and Shirley welcomed their first child, David in 1974. Rob then took the position as Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Cowlitz County, moving the family to Longview, WA. There they completed the family with two more sons and a daughter; Jeremy, Nicholas and Christina. After practicing law for over 13 years, the family then moved to Leavenworth, WA where they purchased the River's Edge Lodge. Rob and Shirley owned and operated this motel for 17 years. It was in Leavenworth that Rob and Shirley continued to raise their family. Rob was an avid sports fan and a huge supporter of his children's efforts in all sports and activities. Rob would travel all over the state to support and be there for his children. In 2004, Rob and Shirley retired in Wenatchee. Rob enjoyed traveling. Rob and Shirley would take yearly trips to Mexico. One of their favorite trips was a road trips across the US, just the two of them in a convertible sports car. Rob loved nothing more than spending time with his grown children, second only to being with his four grandchildren. Rob was preceded in death by his brother, Lynn Force. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley; his four children; David (Wei) Force, Jeremy (Kristin) Force; Nicholas (Amanda) Force and Christina (Lech) Radzimska; and his four grand-children Cooper Force, Abigail Force, Sofie Radzimska and Max Radzimska. Rob is also survived by his brothers, Daniel Force, Donald Benson and Richard Force, and by many close friends and relatives. Rob was a great man who loved his family, adored his wife and took great care of his family. He will be forever missed. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 23, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
