Mary Ellen (Gallaher) Wax

June 6, 1934 - October 17, 2021

Mary Ellen Gallaher Wax died on October 17th at her home in Wenatchee. She was born on June 6, 1934 at Deaconess Hospital in Wenatchee. Her parents were Henry and Ellen Murison Gallaher of Mansfield. She graduated from Mansfield High School and attended Washington State College at Pullman. She married Darold D. Wax in 1954 and they resided in Pullman, Seattle and Corvallis, Oregon. They retired to Wenatchee in 1997. She is survived by her husband Darold, son Mitchell Wax of Manson, Jon Wax (Alex) of Wenatchee, daughter Kathleen Moss (Alex) of Newberg, Oregon and grandchildren Justin Moss, Nathaniel Moss, Olive Wax, Ivy Liles Wax, and step grandson Spencer Ferris. She was preceded in death by daughter Rebecca Anne Wax, sister Shirley Kaye Gallaher Petersen, daughter-in-law Jessie Liles, and sister-in-law Shirley Wax Tanneberg. No funeral services are planned. Interment will be at the Mansfield Cemetery with arrangements by the Waterville Funeral Home - Jones and Jones - Betts. The family would like to thank Hospice for their excellent care.
