Angela A. Aumell

Angela A. Aumell, a 74-year Wenatchee resident, passed away at home on December 22, 2011, at the age of 96. She was born in Missoula, MT, on July 13, 1915, to Harry and Anne Derosier Holden. She lived in Thermopolis, Riverton, and Lander, WY. In 1933, she graduated from Gallatin County High School in Bozeman, MT. She attended Sacred Heart School of Nursing from 1935 to 1937 in Spokane, WA. On December 29, 1937, Angie married Stanley C. (Mike) Aumell in Bozeman and moved to Great Falls. In February 1938, they moved to Wenatchee, where Angie became a member of St. Joseph Parish. She was active in the St. Eugene, St. Anne, and St. Veronica's guilds. In 1963, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse at WVC., She worked at Deaconess on the surgical floor and emergency room and later at Central Washington Hospital in the ER. She belonged to the Washington Critical Care Nurses Association and the District of Washington State LPN Association. Angie was honored as Nurse of the Year in 1982. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society, I Can Cope program, and Respite Care. Angie is survived by her children, Charles and Carol (Bunny), East Helena, MTi Mary, Bothell, WAi James, Santa Fe, NMi Gloria Anne Pashinski, Lynnwood, WAi Fred and Camille, Wenatcheei Kathleen and Bruce Law, Wenatcheei Mary and Mike Mukai, Spokane, WAi John and Susie, Auburn, WAi and Thomas and Karen, East Wenatcheei by her 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren (with 3 more on the waY!)i and by her close friends, Christine and Andrew Snella, Rose and Timothy Owens, Ann Johnson, Jeanette Jeter, Fr. Roy Guterruiz, Cuc Tran, and her "eighth son," Fr. Bob Erickson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mikei her sons, Patrick, Michael, and Josephi her parentsi and her siblings, Gloria Seipt Friedrich, George, Paul, Edward, Charles, and Robert Holden. She attended daily Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and enjoyed sharing her faith with all her dear friends. She visited the Owl Soda Fountain each day for her "free cherry coke fix" with family and friends-a special thanks to Pam, Jeri, Myrna, and staff. Angie was famous for sharing her delicious homemade jam and canned fruiti her generosity was amazing. Her family is grateful to CWH Hospice for helping us to fulfill her final wish of dying peacefully at home surrounded by family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph's School, St. Joseph's Building Fund, or CWH Hospice Visitation will be Thursday 12-29-2011 at Jones & Jones ~ Betts from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pmThe rosary /Vigil will be Thursday from 7:00 pm at St Joseph's Church. Mass of Christian will be Friday December 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St Joseph's Catholic Church.
