Donella Fechner Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donella Fechner Surrounded by family on October 8, 2015 Donella Fechner went home to be with our Lord Christ. Donella was born in Wenatchee, Wa on February 16,1934 to Vernon and Velma McCord. She attend schools in the Wenatchee Valley. On October 26, 1952 she married Melvin “Bud” Fechner and they shared a life together until his passing in 1988. As he always said “ to know Donny was to love Donny! On top of being a full time wife, mother and homemaker she spent time working for Old Model Laundry, Skookum, Chief Wenatchee and finally retiring from Blue Bird on October 25, 2008. After 1988 she spent much of her time with her sister Maryhelen Seat some would say they were inseparable so much so often showing up places dressed the exact same. Many people knew Donella as having an infectious smile that would light up a room and brighten someones day! She always has words of wisdom and loving helping others. She was very loved and will be missed by her Brothers and Sisters at Eastmont Baptist Church as well as everyone who knew her. She is survived by Son Melvin “Larry” Fechner Daughter Velma (Dale) Smith Granddaughters Angie (Dean) Pedersen Tiffany Smith Great Grandsons Dylan Fechner Chase Pedersen Sisters Maryhelen Seat Lily Ann Saunders Brothers Clayton (Marlyn) McCord Daniel (Jackie) McCord Many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins Ex daughter in law Lynda Allbee Special Friend Ken Combs She was proceeded in Death by Her Parents Vernon and Velma McCord Husband Melvin “Bud” Fechner Sisters Inace Andrews Beverly Phillips Brothers Vincint McCord Twin brothers Donald and Ronald McCord Sister in laws Tilly McCord Brother in laws Henery “Hank” Seat Bob Andrews Bob Saunders A small graveside service will be held at a later date to be announced.
