Izetta Rae Fisher

Izetta Rae (Denison) Fisher was born on May 22, 1930 to Ray and Vesa Dension in the small bustling,sawmill town of Lincoln, Washington. She die at Confluence Health Hospital on September 3, 2016. She was named after the midwife who had delivered her and had only received a sack of flower as payment. Izetta was one of five children. She married Dean(Bud) Fisher on February 11, 1948. Izetta and Bud began their life together in the mountains of Washington, first at Potato Creek and later settling in Ardenvoir. She loved the Entiat valley. Izetta along with her husband Bud raised four children: Gary,Dennis,Douglas and Terry who gave them 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren so far. Izetta adored her family. She was like a mother to nieces Fernie, Linda, and brother-in-law Gary. She had many friends, including, but not limited to Rosie,Rog, and Pat. Izetta was known for her love of all things pretty. She often left lipstick and nail polish in every other drawer throughout her home,and her love for a beautiful flower garden was well known by all that knew her. She could make a homemade meal that would make any mouth water (including chicken and noodle soup, apple pie, lefsa, and many more. Izetta lived a long full life. She was kind,genuine, and hard working. She was a homemaker, fruit industry processor, a gardener, a crotcheter, a doll maker a loving mother and she loved and spoiled her grandchildren very much. She could could run after her her boys with a switch when they rode a cow without permission just as quickly as she could whip up a breakfast for her grandchildren visiting from all over the U.S. She is survived by her loving family: one sister Evelyn Birmingham, one brother Gerald Denison. Her husband Bud and three children and their spouses: Jacquelyn Fisher, Dennis and Cindy Fisher ,Douglas and Lisa Fisher,and Terry and Kori Fisher. Her grandchildren: Melonie Al-thanon, Amy Vickery, Heather Bennett, Jessica Matthews,Holly Goodrich, Brenda More, Kelly Simons, Jesse Fisher, Acacia More, and Ty Fisher and many great grandchildren She was proceeded in death by her first born son Gary Fisher, who passed away this year, and two sisters, Elaine and Shirley. A celebration of life will be held on September 17 at noon at the Fisher family river property. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to any of the following: MS Society, Shriner's Hospital, Diabetes Foundation, or Wounded Warriors.
