Ron E. Baugher

Ron Baugher passed away peacefully in his sleep, sitting in "his chair" watching his favorite TV show. Ron was born June 16, 1950 in Dos Palos, California, where he grew up on a cotton farm. His parents were Jane and Elmer Baugher. Ron lived with his grandparents Shelton and Alice Mae Baugher from the ages of 9-17. His family moved to Washington state in 1968, where he graduated from Quincy high school. After graduating, he joined the US navy, where he served on the USS Oriskany. He was honorably discharged and returned to Washington state. In 1978, he met and married his first wife Debbie. They had two children, Cyndi and Orin. Ron worked at JR Simplot from 1978 to 1993 and then worked with Bob Omlin for Omlin farms in Quincy until 1999, when he moved to Wenatchee. In 1999 he met his second wife, Michelle. and they married in 2001. In 2002, they had a daughter, Olivia, who was truly the love of his life. After working at Eastmont Lanes for a few years, Ron went to work Nutrien Ag Solutions until he retired in 2000. He and Michelle also purchased Eastmont Lanes in 2015. Ron loved hunting , fishing, playing softball and spending time with his family and friends. He and Michelle were able to travel and his favorite trip was a cruise to Alaska. Ron had many friends, so many that he and Michelle could go practically no where without having to stop and talk with someone he knew. He had the best sense of humor and enjoyed talking to people and sharing stories with them. There are no words to describe how much he will be missed by his family and friends. He was one of those special people who just seemed to charm everyone he knew and who could make virtually anyone laugh. His son Orin had this to say about his dad: "He always stayed true to himself in a world constantly trying to change him. I find comfort in knowing the mark he left on everyone that ever met him, was a mark of joy and laughter. He will forever be known by the tracks he left and the way he made people feel. The smiles you see peoples faces when they say his name and think of him will be the only reminder needed. I'm proud to call him my dad. I love you pop. -Orin Ron is survived by his wife Michelle, and children Orin, Cyndi, Mathew, Luc, Meredith and Olivia, grandchildren Victoria, Elena, Moira, Francesca, Ariana, Kalindi, Abraham and Quentin, great-granddaughter Raine and a brother, Ernie. Ron had several close friends, but the brothers of his heart were Chuck, Steve and Dennis Motzkus. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Jane, a sister Sandra and a grandson Darius. A celebration of Ron's life will be held Tuesday, October 5th 2021 at the Wenatchee Eagles at 3:00 PM. His family would love to hear any special stories about Ron that you would like to share.
