Virginia M. Baldwin

Virginia Mae Baldwin, 85, of Entiat, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, joining her heavenly father and her beloved family who went before her. Virginia was born in Entiat, WA on March 19, 1930 to Luke and Zelma Wilson. She graduated from Entiat High School in 1948 and went on to get her Bachelor’s Degree in education from Eastern Washington University in 1952. Virginia was a stewardess with Wien Alaska Airlines during the summer. She finished her Master’s Degree 20 years later while raising her children, Kathryn and Michael Enos. Virginia taught elementary school for over 40 years and received her 40 year Ski Instructor’s pin. She loved every moment of teaching both on the snow at Mission Ridge and in the classroom (Entiat, WA). Virginia brought joy to the hearts of people everywhere she went. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. She had the uncanny ability to light up any room and bring a smile to any face. Lake Chelan, basking in the sunshine, Apple Blossom, 4th of July and family birthdays were great reasons for a picnic and a party. September 3, 1992 Virginia married her high school sweet heart Richard Baldwin; theirs is an amazing love story. She inherited three wonderful step-children, Dick, Tammy and Becky along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Richard, her husband, has been her caregiver for years; his devotion to his wife is a great testimony of love and sacrifice. Virginia’s biggest pride and joy where her grandchildren she will be greatly missed by them. Virginia is survived by her husband, Richard; her children, Kathryn Cantwell and Michael Enos; her grandsons, Skylyn, Griffin, Carter and Cullen; granddaughter, Kaitlin. Virginia’s family would like to extend their gratitude to hospice and the wonderful staff. Thank you for your dedication, kindness and excellence in caring for mom. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Entiat Valley Church, 2150 Entiat Way, Entiat, WA.
